Lands of America recently had about $8 billion in land and ranches for sale in the Apache State, which represents about 578,000 acres of Arizona land for sale. Of the 15 counties in the state, Maricopa County had the most rural property and land for sale. There were 4,581 acres of sold land in Arizona recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a change in sales activity over data from the month before. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $8 million. Cochise County saw the most land sales recently in the state. Home to the Grand Canyon and a number of other epic desert landscapes, land in Arizona is ripe for exploration, with popular outdoor recreational activities including hiking, climbing, and canyoneering. Big game here includes antelope, black bear, buffalo, javelina, and mountain lions, along with other small-game species like blue grouse, cottontail rabbit, dove, and pheasant. WalletHub, a personal finance website, has ranked the state among the ten best states for retirees based on factors including affordability, quality of life and health care. Arizona is one of the country's top ten biggest states in terms of size, covering an area of 114,006 square miles (73 million acres). In its entirety, 113,594 square miles is land, while the remaining 396 square miles comprises water.
