There were 2,039 acres of sold land in West Virginia recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the previous month. Hampshire County saw the most land sales recently in the state. West Virginia ranks among the country's smallest states in terms of size, covering an area of 24,231 square miles (16 million acres). Wildlife species to be found on land for sale in West Virginia include whitetail deer, turkey, bear, grouse, and quail. Fishermen can enjoy casting for bass, trout, and catfish.
